• Has bakery experience and/or formal school training for this position

Is available 4 to 5 shifts per week (20-25 hours a week) including Friday and Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Mix, prepare, and bake cupcakes as well as other pastries
• Operate large baking equipment and ovens
• Participate in the receiving, and stocking of all bakery ingredients and products
• Prep and make buttercream
• Frost and decorate cupcakes as needed
• Making macarons 
• Cake decorating experience a plus 
• Kitchen duties & general clean up and organization
• Packing and boxing orders of cupcakes
• All candidates must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Position does include closing shifts a few days a week (12pm-6pm)

Confectionary Cupboard is looking for an experienced cake decorator with fondant skills to join our 8 person strong team. We are located on 7300 Center St, Mentor, Ohio. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and has reliable transportation. Approximately 30 hours per week no evenings. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in decoration of cakes, cupcakes, and special orders.
• Comprehend and preform Confectionary Cupboard’s process of cake decorating, pricing, and customer orders.

Qualifications

• Decorate cake from start to finish: level, trim, dirty ice, and decorate according to order specifications and Confectionary Cupboard’s standard.
• Able to make buttercream flowers.
• Ability to answer the phone and take customer orders.
• Able to write legibly and creatively in buttercream on cakes/cake boards.

Additional Skills

• Some professional experience is required
• Elevated Fondant skills are a plus
